Liverpool offered chance to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid for £66m
Sport claim that Jurgen Klopp’s side were among the teams who were approached by Jorge Mendes, Rodriguez’s agent, and told that the Colombian was available.
But Liverpool are not willing to pay Madrid’s €75 million (£66m) asking price.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Inter were also contacted by Mendes as he continues to search for a buyer.
Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to sell Rodriguez this summer but his refusal to admit that the 25-year-old is available has driven up his price.
