Cologne sign 19-year-old Portuguese defender Joao Queiros
Peter Stöger has made his third signing of the summer, with Joao Queiros joining the Billy Goats from Braga on a five-year-deal.
“Joao is a huge talent, that complements our defense. We are confident that he will take the next step in his development with the help of our team of coaches and will make the leap into the Bundesliga,” said Cologne general manager Jorg Schmadtke

Querios, who played for Braga’s U19 team last season, is also a Portugal international at the same level.
The centre-back played every minute of the U19 European Championships this summer, in which Portugal ended as runners-up, losing to England in the final in Georgia.
“I am happy to have the chance to play for Cologne,“ said Queiros. „I will work hard and I look forward to the challenges ahead with this traditional team”, said Queiros.
