Man United willing to wait on Chelsea star before making transfer decision

Jose Mourinho is willing to wait on Chelsea to make a decision over Nemanja Matic before he instructs his board who else to move for this summer.
Ivan Perisic is another target, but would not impact the Matic move, with Mourinho still able to spend around £100 million – more than enough to get both players, or should the move for Matic fail, land another holding midfielder.
The Daily Mail think that the £40 million rated midfielder is the top target for Manchester United now, yet obviously the tension after the Romelu Lukaku deal has of course seriously complicated things for the clubs.
Tiemoue Bakayoko has of course joined Chelsea, meaning he is not available as a target for United – and that Matic looks to have been shoved closer to the exit door, something United will see as a positive.
£100 million left
The huge amount of money United have left to spend this summer will allow Mourinho to rebuild the squad, but naturally it will also put a huge amount of pressure on the club in terms of their success next season.
The Premier League and the top four at the very least has to be the number one target for Mourinho and his players, or there will be serious questions asked of the manager.
