Chelsea closing in on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Chelsea closing in on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang transfer with Diego Costa exit closer

Chelsea are reportedly closing in on the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Diego Costa’s transfer back to Atletico Madrid draws nearer.
Antonio Conte is looking set to finally end his long search for a new striker this summer with a club-record deal for Aubameyang, whom Dortmund are resigned to losing this summer.

The Bundesliga giants have already stepped up their efforts to bring in a replacement for the Gabon international, who was the German top flight’s top scorer last season with 31 league goals, and 40 in all competitions.
Chelsea desperately need that kind of quality up front next season as Costa looks closer to returning to Atletico after being left out of the Blues’ squad for the start of pre-season.

The Spain international has not travelled with the rest of Conte’s squad for their trip to the Far East, and the Daily Mirror now claims Aubameyang is set to be his replacement at Stamford Bridge.
The 28-year-old had also been linked with the likes of Liverpool, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but the report states that the Premier League champions are now in pole position for his signature.
Aubameyang’s £65m fee would eclipse the current club record of £50m paid for Fernando Torres back in 2011, and could go down as one of the most exciting signings of the summer.
