Alexis Sanchez has “made a decision” over his future, delivering the clearest hint yet over an Arsenal exit by stating he wants to play in the Champions League.
The Chilean superstar enjoyed a sensational season in 2016/17, initially as a loan striker and then as part of the attacking pair in a 3-4-2-1.
However, Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in two decades after a disastrous start to the new year.
Sanchez has since been heavily linked with a summer transfer, as he has just one year left to run on his contract. Manchester City are widely reported to be the front-runners for his signature.

“I have to wait to know what they want. My idea is to play and win the Champions League. It’s a dream I have had since I was little.”
What were the key numbers behind Sanchez’s 2016/17 Premier League form?
38 – Sanchez was the only Arsenal player to feature in every fixture.
24 – He scored 24 goals, marking his best Premier League return and ensuring he ranked third in the division (behind Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku).
3 – Perhaps showing his willingness to help in his own half, the 28-year-old also topped one unwanted category in the Arsenal squad, in defensive errors ( three )
