Chelsea and Real Madrid ‘agree £28m transfer’ of Danilo

Danilo is reportedly set to complete a move from Real Madrid to Chelsea, with Antonio Conte wanting the deal finalised by next week.
In 2015, Danilo made a €31.5m switch from Porto to Madrid, but has failed to live up to that huge price tag.

However, the right-back has lifted the Champions League in each of his two seasons under Zinedine Zidane, meaning the 2011 Copa Libertadores winner is a champion in two continents.

According to the Daily Mirror, Juventus targeted Danilo as a replacement for Dani Alves, but have now been beaten to his signature by Chelsea.

A £28m transfer fee has been agreed, the report claims, with the Blues now aiming to have the 25-year-old on board their flight to a pre-season tour of Asia.

17 – Danilo was restricted to only 17 appearances, though he did complete the full 90 minutes in all but two.
5 – The Brazilian averaged five defensive actions per game, which was one up on his 2015/16 rate.
2.18 – No other Real Madrid defender could match his average of 2.18 tackles won per match.
