The popular broadcasters have detailed on their website that the 26-year-old is “already” being eyed by the Blues with Everton preparing a move themselves following the departure of star Romelu Lukaku.
Antonio Conte’s men were of course heavily linked with a move to bringing Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge before his £75million move to Manchester United and the Italian is said to be looking at a number of strikers, including Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti.
But, the club could also be looking to bring in someone more closer to home and Benteke has shown in his five years in England that he has what it takes to perform in the Premier League.
The striker previously shone at Aston Villa, scoring 49 goals in 101 matches in total before completing a mega £32.5million move to Liverpool in the summer of 2015.
He didn’t enjoy the same fortunes on Merseyside however, returning 10 goals in 42 matches before moving to south east London in a £27million deal with Crystal Palace last summer after just one-year at Anfield.
The 33-time capped Belgium international has since recaptured his form at Crystal Palace and last season he managed a return of 17 goals in 40 matches in all competitions.
Now, Benteke could be set for another move to an elite club with Chelsea eyeing him as a possible replacement to Diego Costa.
